Woman Ejected During Crash Into Tree, Down Embankment Near Mason-Dixon Trail: Coroner

A woman was killed after she was ejected from her vehicle during a crash into a tree and down an embankment on State Route 2024 on Tuesday, July 5, authorities say.

A deputy York County coroner was called to the scene of the deadly crash at 123 Paper Mill Road/RT 2024 near the Mason-Dixon Trail in Delta, Lower Chanceford Township at 5:58 p.m., according to a release by the office.

The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene at 7 p.m., by Deputy Coroner Jake Clevenger.

Other people were in the car when it crashed at 5:39 p.m., but the exact number and their statuses or conditions are unknown, according to the coroner's office.

An autopsy will not be performed but a routine toxicology test will be conducted.

The crash remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police in York.
